Applications
Circadian lighting is the technology to imitate natural daylight by adjsuting the light intensity and color temperature, so as to bring some of the benefits of natural sunlight on people.  Medical studies show that light exposure to the inferior retina (lower half of eye ball) is more effective than superior retina (upper half of eyeball) in suppressing Melatonin.  So correct angle of incidence as well as the right size of light source (indirect lighting) also play important parts to cause the activating effect on Melanopsin.

Good design of artificial lighting can help people to get more focused and improve mood, and need not to say to have better sleep.  The application areas of circadian lighting include healthcare, office, school, factory and home.  The following five design parameters are important to maximize the benefits of circadian lighting,

1)   Light intensity
2)   Color temperature
3)   Angle of incidence1
4)   Size of light source, like indirect and plainer
5)   Time and duration
